The whole point of boards like this one is that its supposed to be for IT Professionals, and professionals should be a little bit above that kind of nonsense. in fact it runs better on old hardware than XP does. you most certainly can run Windows 7 on a Pentium. Try running Windows 7 on a Pentium machine? Never. We still have 7 yr old Macs running the latest OS X with no problem. Windows forces you to upgrade your hardware with every version upgrade. The hardware seems to last a lot longer than a PC. The price is something I do have a hard time with, but in the end it's well worth it. I would never go back to a PC! The OS is flawless, the hardware is fast and reliable - never a crash is 3 years! Windows crashed at least once a day.

I ended up running VMWare Fusion on it for Windows. I convinced my boss I should have a Macbook Pro in order to support both environments. When I came to the school district 3 years ago, they were PC and Mac environments. I supported the old all-in-one Mac 80's in the late 80's/early 90's. Didn't really like Windows (ever), just knew it, dealt with it, etc.
